Yesterday I was taking pictures of the sunset over a small pond near my house when my friend pointed out a dark object that seemed to be just floating in the air almost opposite the sunset. I took a couple of pictures of it just for fun and I still have no idea what it was or is. It was very high in the sky, it did not make any noise that I could hear. It also did not appear to be moving. There was little to no wind during that day so I doubt it was a kite but I'm not sure. Here are the pictures I took.

The other night, Sunday, 07-07-02, I was out sky watching and we were treated to another sighting that I happen to catch on video. It was a black triangular craft. We could not make out a body or structure. The craft was shining a spotlight down to the ground.

I'm a police officer from Omaha. Last year a fellow officer (who wants to remain anonymous) and I were posing for a photograph taken by another officer. When we got the picture developed it showed a strange object in the background that looks like a space ship. All the guys at the station said I should send it in to you and see what you think it could be. So I am asking you Art, what is it?

This past Sunday the attached photo was taken not knowing that the object in the sky was there. Right after this photo was taken, (I mean just seconds after it was snapped) everyone turned around as the lady in the background (who is pointing at the UFO) started yelling hysterically. She kept saying: "Did you see it? Did you see it? What the hell was that?" but everyone thought she was nuts as none of us saw anything. No one even bothered to ask her what she saw, we all thought she was just some lunatic.

Just today my friend emailed me the picture he took of us and I thought my heart was going to jump out of my chest it was pounding so hard! There behind me is the woman who was yelling, and she is pointing up to the sky, and there is what appears to be a saucer shaped UFO right where she is pointing to!

I wish so bad now that I could go back and ask the lady what it is she saw and how big it appeared or how fast it was going, or if it stood still, or what, but at the time we all thought nothing of it. Had we even suspected something like this, we could have looked at the photo right away as it was on a digital camera with an LCD screen so you can review pictures you have taken, but we never thought to look at it, as we really had no idea what the lady was talking about, or even suspected at the time that what ever it was would have been on the photo we had just taken.

MAN do I wish I would have known and could have seen it with my own eyes! Right in broad daylight too, not some dark hard to see night where all you can see are lights that could be from aircraft.

You have posted pictures of UFOs before on your website, and I was hoping you could post this one, or at least let some of your experienced guests that have expertise in this area, look at it and see what they think of it. None of us actually saw the UFO ourselves, and if it wasn't that we remembered the lady and what she was saying, we would probably never have thought anymore about this, other than I am sure we would have still thought the object in the photo was very strange and why is some woman pointing up at it!

Hopefully someone can identify this as something someone else has seen before, or perhaps it matches or resembles some other known UFO picture so that this can be verified or something.

Thanks Art, and I give you permission to put this up on your website. I also asked the other two if it was all right before emailing it to you, and they have no problem with it at all. They are actually just as excited as I am about this.

However, at this time, none of us want to give out our full names. We have never done anything like this before, and don't want our names all over the papers or anything and have no idea what other harm could come from this, so for now, is it ok if we remain semi anonymous?
